Japan produces some of the best green teas in the world. Japan Sencha green tea is a tending light liquoring and smooth with reasonable depth and body. This grade is produced by steaming freshly plucked green leaf and rubbing it. The rubbed leaf is then pan fried or basket fired which gives it its distinctive glossy, almost waxy appearance. The cup has a superb light color, rich tones of mellow grass and hints of honey.
